This month I have been...
... READING TO THE GIRLS: Pig in Love
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, two star crossed... pigs?!
**Warning** Teacher talk coming**
Told in rhyme, which I love, this story gives kids an opportunity to get into the rhythm of the story. Stories told in rhyme show little ones how language works and introduces them to predicting which is an important reading strategy. (On a non-teacher note, a story about two piggies in love and flying to the moon is TOTES adorable!)
...WATCHING: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri
I don't know what I was expecting from this film, but I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. Even though it was about such a dark and scary thing, it was so funny and witty, the perfect balance. Definitely worth a watch.
...EATING: Anything that can be made in a slow cooker!
Our newest purchase that he says will apparently "change our lives." So far it's just making me hangry. If you have any good slow cooker recipes please share them, I'd love to give it another chance...
...LISTENING TO: George Ezra
With infectious and catchy melodies and happy, upbeat lyrics, I cannot help but grab my two little dancing queens up to dance with me. His music makes me happy.
...LAUGHING AT: The Young Offenders
Two lovable rogues, Jock and Conor, taking on the world, one small petty crime at a time. Billy Murphy is another character which has me falling off the couch lol'ing. So glad irish comedy is being showcased in shows like this and Derry Girls - sure we're only hilarious!
