This month I have been...
...READING: Bridget Jones Diary - Helen Fielding
An oldie but a goodie. February was a pretty hectic month and I found myself wanting something that was an easy read and funny. I have read this quite a few times but each time I can't help but laugh out loud! This woman is an icon.
A gorgeous story with a strong message. Get the tissues ready to laugh and cry. " When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind."
... EATING : DIY Pizzas
We have gotten a little addicted to making our own pizzas. It's one way to ensure the kiddies eat their food - they can create a silly face with a few pepperoni. We've tried the ready made pizza bases, but I have to admit, as awkward, messy and time consuming as it is, you just cannot beat the taste of a real, freshly kneaded pizza base - go on.... you know you want to!
... LISTENING TO : Wyvern Lingo
These three voices together just tick every box for me. They have been around a while but their new sound is more RnB which is shamazing! Foot tapping, head bopping, ears peaking - "I Love You Sadie" is my favourite song at the moment. It makes it even better that they are Irish!
Listen to their new song here.
... LAUGHING AT : Bernard O'Shea on Breakfast Republic
Other than seeing the two scrunched up sleepy heads of my little divas, my drive to work listening to 2fm's Breakfast Republic is my favourite part of the morning. I would imagine other drivers passing by double take when they see me twitching with hysterics - the reason being Bernard O'Shea. I simply adore this man. I could have had the morning from toddler hell and he brings me right back to happy centre.
... RETWEETING : Jack's Dad @DaddingAround
Another hilarious parent who makes me giggle. "If I had 50p for every time someone told me how terrible I am at maths I would have about £9.63 by now." Find his tweets here.
... GOING TO : Dalkey
A spontaneous trip which ended up being one of our most memorable days as a family. Dalkey is a beautiful place to stroll around and you cannot beat dipping your toes into the chilly Irish sea before eating real sandy sandwiches.
... LOVING LOLA: put an unnecessary S in front of words
What Lola says: 'SMOUSTACHE'
What I'd like it to mean: A moustache on another level!
Adorable right? On the other hand, not so adorable when she is brushing my hair and informs me "Mom, you have a lot of SNOTS in your hair"
